4th of July

Happy birthday America...we love this country, this holiday, and what it represents!
Freedom, fireworks, good company, BBQ's, parades, what isn't there to love?

It was a nice change to celebrate the 4th in a small town. We had a yummy breakfast at the local high school and found the perfect spot to post up camp for the parade.
Leila was pretty much all better by this point was still out of it and not her smiley self.
After the parade we headed over to the freedom festival where they had crawling and running races up to age 5. We tried to convince Eric and Danny to get dunked in cold water but they weren't all about it.

It was a good time visiting Danny and Cathy...all we did was play all day and laze around at night.

We bonded and learned lots about each other (known these kids for 5+ years but don't spend more than a day together once a year - if that). It's crazy how similar our lives match up..got married 3 weeks apart and had a baby 5 weeks apart.

I'm more of a big city girl but I could get used to this small town/easy living.

Oh, and the nice thing about being on the road during the 4th of July is you get to catch all the cities firework show right off the freeway...we saw about 10 firework shows from Nephi to Orem.
