THE SHOWER...AND THEM SOME!

Shasta's shower was the day before the wedding. Held at her friend's gorgeous home in Park City, it was fab! No games, just good food and conversation. We went around the room and each shared a memory about Shasta. There were a ton of funny stories because Shasta's crazy, outgoing, hilarious, always laughing, and a life of the party. She has a huge heart and I love her like a sister. She is one of my best friends. I'm glad she's finally officially part of the family.

While we were at the shower, Eric and Greg were home preparing the food for the big day. Those crazy kids are making the food for their wedding. Amazing, right? They brought 50 pounds of halibut - that they caught in Alaska - and prepared it today (cut it, breaded it, and nicely placed it in plastic containers so its ready to be cooked tomorrow). They also cut enough salad, veggies, and cheese to feed an army. It was a lot of work.

When we got back from the shower we all helped, we had a good assembly line going on. Greg thought he and Eric would be done by early afternoon...nope, it took all day. It's a lot of work. I can now appreciate how much work goes into preparing food for a big event. Luckily, they sourced some of the food out. The menu tomorrow is Mexican: halibut/carne asada tacos. I think its awesome that Greg and Shasta are doing everything on their own. The food is going to be delicious...can't wait to eat it!

Eileen, Janelle (Eileen's sister), Kimberly (Eric's sister), Shasta, and moi.

Shasta's shoes for the wedding arrived...yup, glittery moon boots! Only she could pull it off. The girls were enamored by them.
